ONLINE TEACHING TOOLS

We realize many of you are working your way through technology and looking for ways to create content to teach online. Some K-12 school systems are already set up with great online tools. In order to receive the best technical support it is encouraged to use what systems your school has developed for you. However if your school does not offer robust tools and you are looking for alternatives, this list may be a good start for developing engaging content.

Please reach out to us if you have any great resources that could be added to this list.

Highlighted Application - Podcasting in bytes

We have heard from some educators about using podcasting to reach students as they are moving to online instruction.  Please refer to the podcasting tab to see the list of all recommended resources.  We wanted to point out one specific application that may come in handy as you move to online modes.  Podcasting in Bytes with Synth seems to have a lot of potential and may be a good way to engage students in "discussion board" type situations, reporting out or even as a way for the instructor to offer quick feedback with audio recordings.

Synth offers an easy entry point into podcasting with maximum 256 second sound bytes with transcriptions and links that can be shared as an audiogram. Share more ideas and spark conversation with teachers and students by having a podcast for professional development or assigned collaborative projects.
