In November 2021, University of Minnesota Agricultural Education, Communication and Marketing (AECM) student Karson Janssen passed away unexpectedly from a rare heart condition. The St. Paul campus and AECM program mourned the loss of one of their own classmates, friend, and student. Karson was a sophomore studying Agricultural Communication and Marketing with a minor in Sports Management. Karson was a caring and genuine individual who was loved by so many.
As a student in AECM 3452: Digital Media Essentials, Karson took the photo below titled “Full Bloom.” To honor and celebrate Karson’s legacy, please download the “Full Bloom” photograph. To keep Karson's memory alive, his family and friends have created the Karson Kent Janssen Memorial Fund. Proceeds support student scholarships, grief support, and heart health awareness.
