"Beyond the Barn"

This podcast series was produced by UMN student Elaine Dorn. She explores careers in the agriculture industry with the intention of reaching current FFA students thinking about their futures.  During this episode of Beyond the Barn, Elaine spoke with Juleah Tolosky, executive director of the Minnesota FFA Association. Legislation affects farmers and rural people, but it can be hard to figure out how farmers and rural people can affect policy. In this podcast series, Emily Pliscott and her guests share simple how-tos about getting involved with policy.  In this episode Emily has a conversation with Abby Ferris of National Farmers Union about the benefits of becoming a member of an agricultural advocacy organization.

"The Gopher Bites"

In this podcast series, UMN student Shoshana Lefkow address her fellow college students about nutrition.  Specifically, Shoshana highlights healthy eating on a college student's budget.  In this episode, she speaks with a UMN student as well as a licensed dietitian about how to address challenges of eating healthy in college. 

"Succulent Love"

Do you love plants, but are constantly let down by your inability to grow them?  If so, this podcast series is for you.  In this podcast, UMN student Olivia Vande Hey highlights how to grow and care for succulents to develop your greenthumb.  In this episode, Olivia interviews a UMN Teaching Specialist on how to propagate succulents.
